Our Mission
The mission of ISIS Affiliates is to provide schools with performance management and visual analytical resources that will improve school-wide decision making and support mission-driven improvement. We do this with a primary focus on people and process, supported by visual analytic technology.
What is the "Mission-Driven, Mission-Measured" Concept?
"Mission-driven, mission-measured" represents a conceptual model schools can use to increase their participation in determining comprehensive benchmarks for local success. Properly implemented as a deep infrastructure, knowledge management approach to improvement, the concept offers a wealth of benefits for the school community:
  • Create opportunities to effect change from the bottom up.
  • Maximize participation and opportunities for involvement among all constituents.
  • Maximize opportunities for diversified leadership.
  • Emphasize collective responsibility and a commitment to a larger purpose and common vision for the school.
A mission-driven, mission-measured approach creates a permanent investment in organizational knowledge and brings critical focus to measuring all aspects of the mission: identity, beliefs, outcomes (academic and non-academic), and methods. When incorporating context-based metrics within a social footprint framework, this approach gives the school the ability to evaluate its own contributions to the welfare of the local, national, and global community.

ISIS Affiliates has developed the system for helping every school develop comprehensive goals and measure its success in meeting those goals. The Coherent Decision Analysis System (CoDAS) provides the tools to enable schools to become mission-driven. The Common Language of Performance Resource (CLPR) provides the tools to enable schools to become mission-measured. When integrated at the school or district level, these resources give schools the opportunity to identify areas of strength and weakness, determine strategies for improvement, and build community-wide commitment toward achieving the most comprehensive measure of success: the school mission. Each school or district can move beyond the question "Are we meeting our goals?" to the much more powerful question "To what extent are we fulfilling our mission?"

Whether addressing issues of data-driven decision making, standardized test analysis, or mission-driven school improvement, ISIS Affiliates provides professional development resources to address specific client needs. This includes focused consultation with school leadership, implementation strategies and support, workshops for key personnel, and training in the use of ISIS visual analytic technology and web-based resources
